Tim is based in the UK, on the edge of the Peak District National Park and South of the city of Manchester.
He has been a bird watcher and environmentalist for at least 45 years, a member of many nature and conservation organizations, and in recent years particularly interested in the development of the 'rewilding' movement in the UK and across Europe.
Tim is a qualified Social Worker, and for many years worked in local authority safeguarding and youth offending services. He has recently taken up a post with a local authority working on their Climate & Biodiversity Emergency Strategy.
Tim met Douglas Trent at the Jaguar Ecological Reserve in the Pantanal in 2005 and has served as a Board Member of the Focus Conservation Fund since 2013.
